Bertrand Chen is Chief Executive Officer of the Global Shipping Business Network (GSBN), the world’s first independent, not-for-profit technology consortium dedicated to digitalising global trade. He leads the consortium’s strategy with a mandate to serve the broader industry, advancing collaboration, interoperability, and data-driven innovation across the maritime and trade ecosystem.

Bertrand is passionate about unlocking value in traditional industries through digital transformation and data science. Prior to joining GSBN, he served as Group Data Scientist at CK Hutchison Holdings, working across telecoms, retail, infrastructure, energy, and terminals to support digital initiatives and new business model development. His global remit has included markets across North America, Europe, Australia, Hong Kong, and Greater China.
